NGC4725 and NGC4712 2021-05-07
NGC4725 (the larger 1-armed barred spiral galaxy) and NGC4712 (the smaller spiral galaxy below it) Taken on 2021-05-07.
The larger one is about 100k light-years wide and 40 million light-years from Earth, while the smaller one is about 200 million light-years away.

Whale Galaxy (NGC4631) 2021-04-06
The Whale Galaxy (NGC4631). This is the last of the images I have to share from the good weather we had earlier in April 2021. I hope to get some more clear skies soon! The Whale Galaxy is a barred spiral galaxy that we see on its edge when viewed here from Earth. It is about 30 Million Light-Years away from us, and if it helps you understand the size – this was shot at around 1320mm. The image was taken with a cooled monochrome camera (ASI1600MM-Pro) using LRGB filters. It is comprised of 4 hours and 48 minutes of total integrated exposure time:
L: 52x 2 minute exposures
R: 28x 2 minute exposures
G: 33x 2 minute exposures
B: 31x 2 minute exposures
Needle Galaxy (NGC 4565) 2021-04-05
Needle Galaxy (NGC 4565). 2021-04-05
It is an edge-on spiral galaxy about 40 million light-years away. I imaged this one last year as well but the detail is a little better this time around.
Image Details:
Celestron 8″ SCT @ f/6.3 (~1320mm)
– L: 100x 60s
– R: 53x 60s

Leo Triplet 200mm 2021-04-05
The Leo Triplet is a 3 galaxy cluster located in the constellation Leo. It contains M65, M66, and NGC3628. This was captures with an ASI183MC and Canon 200m lens at f/2.8. It is made up of 197x 60s frames using an Astronomik L-1 filter.

Markarians Chain 2021-04-04
Markarian’s Chain is a stretch of galaxies that form a smooth curve. I once again used a Canon 200mm lens because of the scale of the chain itself in the night sky. This is the final result of 206x 60 second color exposures stacked and processed. If you zoom in, you can get some additional detail.
Markarians Chain Mosaic 2021-04-04
Captured with my 8 inch SCT, while not my favorite image of the chain, it does show a bit more detail.
